General terms and conditions of business
General Terms and Conditions (GTC)
Scope
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all orders placed through our website. The offer on this website is directed exclusively at consumers residing in Switzerland (hereinafter “Customer”).
A consumer is a natural person who maintains business relationships with Ask Harriet that cannot be attributed to their commercial or independent professional activity.
Orders in non-household quantities may be rejected without explanation.
Ask Harriet reserves the right to amend these GTC at any time. The version valid at the time of ordering applies and cannot be unilaterally changed for that order. Conflicting or deviating terms and conditions from the customer are not recognized.
The operator of this website is Ask Harriet.
Information on This Website
Ask Harriet provides information about products and services. Changes in prices, assortment, and technical data are reserved.
All information (product descriptions, images, videos, measurements, specifications, etc.) is for illustration and approximate guidance only and is non-binding. They do not represent guaranteed features unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Ask Harriet strives to present all information correctly, completely, and up-to-date but cannot guarantee this, either explicitly or implicitly.
All offers on this website are non-binding and do not constitute a binding offer.
Ask Harriet cannot guarantee that all products listed are available at the time of ordering. Availability and delivery times are non-binding and may change without notice.
Prices
All prices listed on www.askharriet.com are final prices in Swiss francs (CHF) and include VAT and any taxes (e.g. recycling fees or copyright charges) when not otherwise stated.
Shipping costs are charged separately unless otherwise provided and are displayed during the ordering process.
Ask Harriet reserves the right to adjust prices at any time and without prior notice.
Consulting or support services are not included in product prices.
Conclusion of Contract
The products and prices displayed constitute non-binding offers.
By submitting an order, including acceptance of these GTC, the Customer submits a legally binding offer. Ask Harriet sends an automatic order confirmation by email, confirming receipt but not acceptance. Orders are binding for the Customer.
A contract is formed once Ask Harriet confirms dispatch of the product or service by email.
Orders are processed only after full payment (except invoice-based delivery) and subject to product availability. If an item cannot be delivered, Ask Harriet may refuse or partially fulfill the order and inform the Customer. Paid amounts are refunded or cancelled accordingly.
Payment and Retention of Title
The Customer may select from payment methods offered at checkout.
Ask Harriet may exclude payment methods or require prepayment at its discretion.
In case of late payment, Ask Harriet may charge default interest at 5% per year and reminder fees up to CHF 20 per reminder.
Delivered goods remain the property of Ask Harriet until fully paid.
Delivery, Inspection, and Returns
Delivery is made by Swiss Post or courier to the Customer’s provided address. Delivery times are indicative and non-binding; partial deliveries may occur at no extra cost.
If the delivery cannot be completed or is refused, Ask Harriet may cancel the contract after notice and charge resulting costs.
The Customer must inspect goods upon receipt and report defects immediately by letter or email.
Returns are at the Customer’s cost and risk. Products must be returned in original packaging, complete with all accessories, delivery note, and defect description.
If inspection reveals no defect or that warranty does not apply, Ask Harriet may charge costs for handling, return, or disposal.
Right of Withdrawal
Customers have a 10-calendar-day right of withdrawal after receiving goods. The withdrawal notice must be sent in writing by email or letter within this period.
Returned goods must be sent within 10 days, unused, in original packaging, complete, with all accessories and the delivery note.
Return shipping is at the Customer’s expense and risk. Refunds are processed within 20 days after receipt or proof of dispatch.
Ask Harriet may deduct compensation for damage, excessive wear, or diminished value.
No withdrawal right exists for:

Goods made to customer specifications or clearly personalized
-
Digital content not supplied on a physical medium and fully executed services
-
Perishable goods or those unsuitable for return
